Jan 30, 2017 Omnisphere 2 Crackling Issue I know this doesn't really fit the type of synthesizers usually posted here, but I'm at a bit of a loss here. Downloaded Omnisphere and Keyscape a few weeks back, absolutely love the sounds I can get out of them. Nov 29, 2017 Omnisphere 2 has a wider variety of effects. Vintage effects like echoes, choruses and compressors as well as various reverb types are included. And remember, all of the parameters in each effect can be modulated. This does come at the cost of higher CPU usage, however. What is the correct way to use Neutron? I have a track that has about 18 stems, 10 of which are running Omnisphere 2. I placed an instance of Neutron on each stem, and shortly my CPU usage jumped to 99% (highest I've seen is 10-11%).

Each hardware profile has a corresponding set of sounds in the Hardware Library which were specially designed using that hardware synth as an Omnisphere controller. Re: OMNISPHERE CPU load reduction- Eric, any advice? AFAIK its true for all plugins or most at least. Sharing the load over several instances works great though and i am very happy to have 8 cores so i can run a maximum of parts simultaneously without ever freezing. High CPU usage. Omnisphere 2. You can also import own sounds to Omnisphere and turn them into synthesizer patches. Mar 15, 2013 Omnisphere can do most stuff well but I would say that its strengths are pads and textures which is does exceptionally well. In terms of CPU, I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM and a quad core i7 2.2Ghz an I find that Omnisphere patches would probably use 8-10% CPU when playing a 4 note chord. They can be more and a few might be a bit less.
