How to save a song on garageband ipad. To save the song as an editable GarageBand project: tap Project. To save the song as an audio file: tap Song. You can add the artist, composer, and title information, choose the audio quality, and an image for the audio file. Tap Share, tap Save to Files, locate and tap the GarageBand folder, then tap Add. Connect your iPad to your Mac. Tap the New Folder button. If you don’t see the New Folder button, touch and hold an empty area in the My Songs browser and drag down. Use the keyboard to type a name for the folder, then tap Done.
